FUNDING EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION

The Lake Stevens Education Foundation (LSEF) is a non-profit charitable organization managed by the volunteer efforts of the Foundation's Board of Directors. The Foundation was organized in 1993 by parents, community members and school district administrators for the purpose of providing an alternative source of support for district programs and scholarships. LSEF is a separate entity from the school district.

The Foundation's endowment for the support of education in Lake Stevens has grown through the generous contributions of community members, families and businesses. The Foundation receives business match funds and general donations. The types of programs supported by these donations range from classroom grants, individual scholarships, Dolly Parton Library, Arts Programs, broad scope tutorial programs and school wide activities. To date, the Foundation has awarded over $100,000 in grants to teachers, awarded thousands of dollars in individual scholarships, established Academic Beginnings for Children (ABC) and allocated thousands of dollars in support funding for use by every school in the district.

Monthly Board Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Educational Service Center (ESC) at 12309 22nd Street NE., (Downtown Lake Stevens).

Mission: To support public education in Lake Stevens schools by providing programs, classroom grants, scholarships, and materials to enhance the educational experience of students.
